The mission of OASW(S) is to provide logistics and material readiness to deliver military capability for the Nation. OASW(S) advises the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment and oversees the Defense Logistics Agency and Defense Microelectronics Activity. Led by Performing the Duties of ASW(S), Ms. Leigh E. Method, OASW(S) is focused on building a resilient Joint Force and defense ecosystem to ensure present and future military advantage by Reestablishing Deterrence to defend our homeland. To achieve this priority, the Department will address these four challenges: 1) prevailing through a contested logistics environment, 2) delivering effective and affordable weapon systems by rapidly fielding emerging technologies, 3) modernizing and reforming the defense industrial base, and 4) finding and fixing operations and support cost-drivers.
