About OHARU
OHARU is a nonprofit initiative on a mission to build thriving living communities for under-privileged children of ethnic minorities in rural Bangladesh. We build affordable housing for these underprivileged pupils in order to provide them access to schools, which would otherwise be out of reach. We identify motivated students facing financial and social barriers and provide them with housing infrastructure and other complimentary supplies to make going to school possible. Rooted in the belief that education can break cycles of poverty, OHARU works closely with local communities to ensure that every child we support has the opportunity to thrive, learn, and lead.
