About Ohio Conference AAUP
The Ohio Conference of the American Association of University Professors (OC-AAUP) is a strong professional organization that was established 75 years ago. Representing approximately 7,000 college and university professors, it is affiliated with the national AAUP and has more than 20 collective bargaining and advocacy (non-union) chapters across Ohio. The core mission of the OC-AAUP is to preserve and advance academic freedom, shared governance, and the general welfare of college and university professors. We are also committed to promoting the greater social good that results from having a dynamic, active professoriate. More specifically, we believe that advocating for the foundational principles of American higher education enhances student achievement and our graduates' contributions to our communities.
