At Ohio Veterans Collaborative (OVC), we champion the transition of Ohio’s Veterans and their families into civilian life. Our mission is simple: Help Ohio Veterans find success outside of the uniform! Accomplishing this mission requires intentionality and community collaboration. Our RISE approach is designed to do just that. Here is what RISE is short for and why each component is so important: Regional Development: Think of Ohio as a big family with different needs in each region. OVC gets this and offers support that's just right whether you're in Columbus, Dayton, or Toledo. It's all about understanding what resources are available and works best in each area across the state. Industry Training: There's a world of learning opportunities out there for Veterans and thier families. The challenge is that most Veterans don't know that these programs exist. OVC helps bridge the gap, connecting our Veterans to these programs, which means better job prospects and salaries. Sustainable Employment: It's not just about finding a job; it's about finding careers. OVC works with Veterans and the business community to identify employment opportunities with companies that really value their skills and experiences.
