About Ohlone Humane Society
Ohlone Humane Society – Advocating for All Animals OHS is a nonprofit animal welfare organization located in the SF Bay Area. We care for animals and the community through programs including companion animal rescue and adoption, humane education, and animal assisted therapy. Our more unusual programs include: - Read-to-a-Dog in partnership with the Fremont Library system - Animal assisted interventions - Pet-Meals-On-Wheels for companion animals - Foster kitten and adoption program - Rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured or orphaned wildlife - Community Outreach programs OHS does not receive local or state government funding. We are not affiliated with a parent company such as the Humane Society of the United States. We are privately funded and rely on the generous support of our community through donations and volunteering.
