The Oil and Gas Industrial Safety Promoters of Nigeria (OGISPON) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to expose and progressively improve occupational safety and health reforms within the nation’s oil and gas industry. The organization also acts as a forum for both local and international collaboration among professional members and other relevant stakeholder groups interested in improving safety and health at work. We hope to achieve our Vision of making Nigeria’s foremost industrial sector a Safe Place by helping to create awareness amongst the Nigerian populace for a safer oil and gas sector. Our Vision: We aspire to ensure that Nigeria has a healthy and Injury-Free work environment In support of our Vision, our Mission is to: 1) Build positive relationships with employers, workers, and others affected by the workmen compensation act 2) Build positive relationships and implement programs that move Nigeria to zero workplace injuries 3) Ensure that our decisions and actions are driven by the health and safety of employees 4) Advance the views and positions of the oil & gas companies to National Regulators, Legislative bodies and relevant stakeholders. 5) Provide a forum for sharing industry best practices, innovations and promoting co-operation, consistency and effectiveness of industry players
