The Ok Tedi Mine is an open-pit copper and gold mine located in the Star Mountains of the North Fly District of the Western Province of Papua New Guinea. Ok Tedi produces copper and gold from its Mt Fubilan mining and mill operations. Concentrate is sent by pipeline to its port operations in Kiunga from where it is shipped by barge to Port Moresby Harbour where it is transferred to ocean going vessels and dispatched to smelting markets in Germany, India, Japan, Korea and The Philippines. Ok Tedi Mining Ltd is proud to be 100% PNG owned, with 67% shareholding by the Government of Papua New Guinea while the people of Western Province hold the remaining 33% interest.
