About Okanagan Granfondo
The Okanagan Granfondo Penticton is one of Canada's premier cycling events, set in the stunning Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. Held annually in early July, the Granfondo attracts cyclists worldwide to experience the breathtaking views of vineyards, lakes, and mountain landscapes. With a history of over a decade, the Okanagan Granfondo has become known for its world-class organization, scenic course, and challenging yet rewarding route. This mass cycling event ranks as one of North America’s premier cycling events that attracts recreational, elite and pro cyclists for an epic weekend of road cycling in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan wine country. Cyclists can choose from one of four distances with each distance starting and finishing in Penticton. With the success of this event, we have been able to give back to youth in cycling in many different ways by starting the AM Youth Development Foundation (AMYDF). It provided funds for a three-day youth cycling camp/race in Kelowna for many years. We hope to continue to bring our passion for the sport to this beautiful region in the Okanagan. In 2015 we started a youth cycling team Red Devils with 50 kids age 10-17 in the club. We also put 20 new level 1 cycling coaches on the road by organizing a NCCP course here in Kelowna. In 2021 Athina's ride was launched and has raised over $260,000 for the Desmoid Foundation of Canada, which is close to our hearts. Sponsorship opportunities- info@okanagangranfondo.com
