About Okean Solutions
Okean Solutions, Inc. is a consulting and software application development company created in March 2010 and based in Seattle, WA. As a small business specializing in the aerospace and IT sectors, we are engineers with a deep breadth of knowledge in fault management systems and space craft attitude control systems, flight mechanics, terrain awareness and synthetic vision systems, server and desktop application development, automation harnesses, and cloud-based services. We have a combined engineering experience of 70+ years in satellite control systems, embedded systems, airplane and spacecraft avionics, modeling and simulation, and software architecture and development. At Okean Solutions, we push the boundaries of model-based fault management through a variety of technology development projects with NASA and the United States Department of Defense. We serve national and international clients. The Engineering Division of Okean Solutions specializes in the design of flight and satellite control systems and works extensively with the design of fault management systems and the respective test harnesses for those systems. In 2015, we started a project that became MONSID, Model-Based Off-Nominal State Identification and Detection. We created a model-based solution to provide fault detection and identification that is more targeted than traditional monitor-response systems. MONSID was born out of a NASA SBIR Phase I project in search of innovative, more capable fault management solutions. Okean Solutions products include the MONSID Software Development Kit and the MONSID Toolkit web application that allows MONSID users to visually interact with models. Okean Solutions provides consulting, installation, modelling, reporting / output diagnosis, software development and customization specific to the MONSID system. The IT Division of Okean Solutions works closely with Aptillon Consulting, Inc. to provide architectural, development, and system support services.
