About Old School Pictures
A pool of collective creativity, Old School Pictures is an independent film group born out of Memphis, TN. It has produced nine films including award winning pictures, The Path of Fear and Act One, as well as several shorts and music videos. Old School Pictures originated out of Houston High School's Film and Video Production Class of 1998. It was through this class, that the team unified, each member realizing the strengths and passion of filmmaking between others in the group. Act One, their most successful picture to date, won "Best Narrative Feature" award in the "Home Towner" category of the 2005 Indie Memphis Film Festival. Critical praise abound for the picture, so much so, that a two week engagement at Malco's Studio and the Square brought the group to the foreground of the Memphis independent film scene. Their latest project only bears light to this new found position. Daylight Fades begins production in 2009 and is their most ambitious project yet. With the efforts of a talented cast and devoted crew, this project will continue their propel them to notoriety within the local film community and beyond.
