About Oliver Brothers

Oliver Brothers (Est. 1850) is the oldest fine art restoration firm in the United States. Our firm has been serving our clients for over one hundred and sixty years. We perform museum quality art restoration and conservation on paintings, works on paper, antique and contemporary picture frames, gilded objects, icons, murals, and sculpture. We have set the standard for re lining oil paintings with our patent for vacuum press table in 1937. Virtually every art restorer in the World is using this type of table in their practice today. We have many interesting stories, from armed guard in front of our studio making sure that Rembrandt painting is safe, to many discoveries underneath layers of paint and discolor varnishes. We had an honor to work on many historically important art restoration projects. Oliver Brothers Custom Framing was formed as an extension of Oliver Brothers Fine Art Restoration. Our background working with antique fine art and antique picture frames has guided us in our efforts to assemble a comprehensive selection of historically accurate period frames. In addition to period frames, we also offer a wide range of contemporary picture frames. We service clients across the United States.
