About Oliver's Place

Welcome to Oliver’s Place! In 1870, Oliver Smith homesteaded 83 acres in ‘the bottoms’, to raise a family and grow food for the surrounding areas. For 5 generations, the Smith boys have been caring for and working the land. Over the years, orchard crops, field and row crops, and several of kinds of animal herds have been raised for food for the surrounding communities. A little sliver of that original homestead is left and in the Fall of 2023, Oliver’s Place barn will be open which will preserve the heritage and legacy of Oliver Smith and the generations that followed. There will be something for everyone at Oliver’s Place! Farm fresh food store, ice cream parlor, event center and farm activities year round (Hee Haw Farms) for all to enjoy
