About OMSI Trasmissioni
OMSI’s sixty years of history have their roots in the art of Italian precision engineering. The Company was set up in 1959 thanks to the technical experience of its founder, Giovanni Soncina, designer of transmission systems and power take-offs. OMSI has known how to grow, alongside three generations of entrepreneurs in the company. A customer-focused approach and cutting-edge technology are the key values of OMSI production and engineering processes. An invaluable legacy from the founder is a constructive, concrete approach to every project. This is transformed into power transmission units for industrial, farming and rail equipment, which are everywhere renown for their quality and level of innovation. OMSI manages most of its processes internally thanks to ongoing investment in technology and staff continuous training, providing the market with a rapid, streamlined response. Cutting-edge machinery, such as turning centres, 4 and 5-axis machining centres, gear hobbing and cutting machines, internal/external circular grinders and grinders for spur gears, enable production peaks to be fulfilled. Supervision from the Technical Department in each product implementation phase optimises time-to-market and product reliability. Specialist operators have access to innovative, advanced software systems, such as PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), 3D CAD, finite element analysis (FEM) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics, simulating internal lubrication conditions). A new 600 kW test bench is the flagship of OMSI’s continuous investment policy. OMSI: A FAMILY, A COMPANY, AN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS. SINCE 1959 COMPANY
