On Purpose Learning Programs was started to help employees at all levels, across all industries and at any stage of employment get access to the tips needed to bring the best version of themselves to the work they were meant to do. Originally, the low figure on the totem pole was considered the most important piece of the design. The chief carver was responsible for investing a great deal of time, creativity, and energy into developing what was considered the heart of the structure. Over time, we lost touch with how the employee helps drive any business's success. As employees, we often sit in the passenger seat of our career, accepting that someone else knows better than we do on where we should be headed. Or worse, expecting someone, often our manager, to figure it out for us. When we know what our unique genius is, understand how to create the right work for ourselves, and feel empowered to go after our goals with passion and determination, the results impact the bottom line of businesses we work in and the resiliency of our economy. Each one of us has a unique genius to bring to the table. Each one of us is our own employee. Each one of us is capable of bringing greatness to what we do.
