About One Body Collaboratives

One Body is a faith based nonprofit organization established in 2010. The organization is based on holistic and collaborative methodologies and web-based toolsets that the founders have developed since the year 2000. The development work was performed in close collaboration with Northern Illinois University, as well as numerous public, private, church, and faith based organizations both regionally and nationally. One Body will now take these proven methods and toolsets and apply them to the specific mission of mobilizing and coordinating church & faith based resources to help address individual, family, and community needs. The methodologies embody a person centered, holistic approach that addresses 14 areas of one’s life including: Identification, Housing, Relationships, Health, Mental Health, Addictions, Legal, Employment, Financial, Education, Transportation, Belongings, Recreation, and Spiritual. They have demonstrated effectiveness in reducing poverty, homelessness, jail and prison recidivism, as well as effectiveness in general pastoral counseling and benevolence management. We will build upon a communities existing momentum and success with collaboration building facilitations, trainings, and the provision of web-based software tools that include local provider & resource directories, a HIPPA-compliant holistic and collaborative case management system, and a benefits eligibility and application database for Federal, State, and local benefits and services.
