ONE Cedar Valley assists individuals and employers in the Cedar Valley to succeed by overcoming barriers to meaningful employment. One Cedar Valley will create an environment and provide tools for people to empower themselves and for our entire community to embrace underrepresented residents, and be intentional as we create economic vitality in our Black community: *deconstruct barriers to provide employment for all *champion hiring and cultural changes within our business sector *create best practices for community collaboration and unity to strengthen economic inclusion *celebrate diversity and inclusion *create new best practices for community collaboration and unity *Increase workforce participation in the Cedar Valley *priority focus on under-employed black and people of color will be intentionally included in economic vitality of community *serve as a resource hub to maximize opportunities and reduce barriers to employment. Through an integrated service delivery strategy, we will serve as a hub to connect individuals to income and work support, financial education and asset building resources, educational and workforce training. Partnering with local employers and business supports to leverage and expand resources and tear down barriers that have led to generational poverty in our community. This collaborative community effort will provide real impact and outcomes to the disenfranchised, under employed, and unemployed to create a better quality of life and earn a viable living wage. Together, we are sending a clear message about who we are as the Cedar Valley—that we’re inclusive, that we’re vibrant, and that we’re moving forward—and we’re doing it with intent and action.
