About One for the World
One for the World's mission to scale the effective giving movement addressing extreme global poverty through education, training, and community building. Founded at Wharton in 2014, we have over 700 members across the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK who have taken the 1% pledge. Charitable giving can be time consuming if people want to ensure that their money is going to highly effective charities. We minimize the effort by a) screening charities for you and b) allowing you to set up recurring donations - set it and forget it! We have over 80 university chapters such as Wharton MBA, Penn Law, Penn Undergrad, Harvard Business School, Cambridge, St Andrews, and the University of Melbourne. We also do talks for employees at major firms across the world including Google, Accenture, and BCG.
