About One Lake District

Officially founded at the end of 2018, we have existed in one form or another since 2013. Originally OLD started life on social media as the Lakeland Photography Prize but was later renamed in 2015, becoming 'lakedistrict.co.uk'. Now under a new title, we still have the same aims and ideals. We were founded by a coalition of Cumbrian-born and based entrepreneurs and have a large network of specialists in a huge range of fields, all dedicated to making the area a better place for all. Our site is largely still under construction with some exciting developments taking place, below you can see a taste of what’s to come. L - Local Knowledge Our locally based team and network of specialists ensure that we bring you the most up-to-date and accurate information that the internet has to offer, enabling you to plan your Lake District getaway efficiently and hassle-free. A - Assistance Assistance in a variety of ways to local businesses, both established and just starting. We offer a selection of content creation and marketing packages, all provided either in-house or through our verified network of local talent. We also offer bespoke garment printing. K - Keepsakes Everyone loves a little piece of the Lakes. We will be stocking a selection of locally sourced gifts and products, available from our online shop and shipped to all four corners of the globe. E - Experience Whether it’s a guided day in the mountains for yourself or a few hours of corporate team building; we offer everything from fitness-inspired excursions to adventure days, honing skills like ax throwing and archery.
