About One Research
One Research specialises in patient recruitment, driving clinical research success for the benefit of human health. Based at the University of Sussex within the South Downs National Park, One Research was founded in response to the ever-increasing challenge of recruiting sufficient numbers of volunteers for clinical trials. Approximately 80% of clinical trials fail to recruit the patients they need on time. Although the concept of patient-centricity has gained currency, and much discussion has been had about how to make the clinical-development process more patient centred, global practices are yet to solve the problem. Whether you work for a pharma company or CRO, you’ll know that traditional patient recruitment and retention at site level is often a challenging process. The aim is to start and complete trials on time and on budget, but it’s common to find yourself paying high recruitment costs when targets are far from being met.
