Mission To advance global cooperation, One To World fosters intercultural understanding by creating face-to-face experiences among local communities, international students and Fulbright scholars. Description One To World is a New York-based not-for-profit organization that brings Americans and students from around the world face-to-face to share their lives and perspectives in life-changing ways. Over 100,000 international students and scholars come to study at New York-area institutions from more than 140 countries each year. One To World makes the most of this priceless opportunity to create understanding and positive relationships with these unofficial ambassadors from all over the world while they are here. While One To World was created 40 years ago to engage international students in American life, what we have become is so much more: an organization that builds life-long understanding and respect among people across the globe. From sharing a Thanksgiving meal with American families, to staying with cadets at West Point Military Academy, to leading workshops on their countries and cultures in New York City public schools, these future global leaders interact with Americans in ways they never otherwise would. One To World’s programs create true, lasting respect and understanding across borders. One To World is designated by the U.S. Department of State as the official Coordinator of Enrichment Programs for the nearly 1,000 visiting Fulbright grantees studying in the greater New York area each year.
