About ONEgeneration
Our mission is to support and enrich the lives of seniors, children and their families throughout our diverse community. We envision communities enriched through intergenerational relationships; where healthy aging is embraced and child development value; where the fulfilled life is the life well-lived. ONEgeneration is widely known for its intergenerational programming. At the intergenerational center, older adults and small children interact and participate in activites eight to nine times daily. At the senior enrichment center, active older adults work with foster youth and at-risk youth through arts programs and daily meal preparation and service. These programs benefit old and young alike and have a proven track record of building relationships and sharing stories. Program highlights: Adult Daycare and Childcare in a shared setting Delivery of 78,000 meals annually to homebound seniors Serving of 66,000 meals annually to ambulatory seniors in one of five facilities Critical transportation for seniors to medical appointments and other vital services An active network of 300 volunteers who make our programs come alive Care Management services to over 1,500 seniors annually - including bathing, grocery shopping and housekeeping Programs for pregnant/parenting teens and for pregnancy prevention education Mentoring and skills building programs for At-Risk Youth A weekly, certified-organic Farmers Market, well-known in the community for over 15 years.
