(CFCA) Represents and provides post graduate continuing education to Regulated Health Care Practitioners who wish to specialize in the field of Advanced Medical Foot & Lower Limb Care and carry the registered title PodOrtho Foot Specialist (Pod.Fs). Our members own and operate foot and lower limb care practices across Ontario and Canada. Medical Foot and lower limb care is in high demand given a rapidly aging and growing population. Our members establish busy practices quickly once completing our accredited advanced medical foot and lower limb care program. Our programs are delivered in a short period of time given our students have acquired entry to practice healthcare competencies through traditional healthcare education. Our Programs offer Advanced, Essential and Bridge Foot and Lower Limb Care Education through a hybrid concept of online and scheduled clinical placements at operating clinics in several locations. The primary objective of a PodOrtho Foot Specialists is to optimize foot and lower limb health, improve client mobility, treat skin and nail conditions, rehabilitate and treat painful conditions thus eliminating discomfort. Pod. Fs perform foot and lower limb assessments while identifying various foot and lower limb concerns, establish a plan of care, deliver medical and diabetic foot care through a rehabilitative and preventative whole of client care approach.
