About ontrac Employment Resource Services
Our Employment Services Centre provides free ‘employment assistance services’ in 3 offices located in Arnprior, Renfrew and Smiths Falls, Ontario. Each centre contains a fully equipped resource centre which includes computers with internet access, photocopier, fax machine, job board, newspapers, work search and resource materials, community resources as well as professional staff to provide assistance. Individuals also have access to confidential one-on-one assisted services, employment and career counselling, (by appointment) to help with all their job search needs. Clients learn effective job search/marketing skills and obtain supported assistance in career decision making and employment goal setting. To get “ontrac”… one needs to determine where the jobs are, how to understand future labour market trends, profile employers, conduct occupational and educational research and how to connect with employers. Counsellors work with each person to develop realistic and attainable career goals and, in turn, reach those goals. ontrac Employment Resource Services delivers a ‘full suite’ of quality employment services as part of the Employment Ontario Network. We encourage you to contact us or visit our website for more information about our services. As part of the Employment Ontario network, ontrac also provides services to Employers. We can assist employers to develop and reach their business goals, through job matching, placement and incentives, employee training and new employee recruitment. Lastly, our staff work closely with other government and community agencies to ensure all of our clients receive the appropriate services to meet their individual needs.
