About Open Heart & Mind

We’re a grassroots collective building open tools to help communities recognise and reward what matters most. Our core project is Wisdom — a collective sensemaking platform that empowers communities to recognise and reward diverse contributions: ideas, actions, resources, and even evaluations themselves. It uses a transparent, inclusive peer-review process to generate shared value — expressed in standard units that enable coordination and interoperability across communities. Too often, valuable work goes unseen — and contributions to the commons go unrewarded. We’re creating a new way for communities to define and distribute value, together. How it works: Communities define their values, nominate contributions, and evaluate them through a novel peer-review process based on pairwise comparisons. The result is a shared value map, expressed in standard units, that supports fair and autonomous recognition and reward. Why it matters: Communities thrive when contributions are seen, valued, and appreciated. Our framework helps shift the culture from competition to collaboration — supporting regenerative systems that are transparent, inclusive, and accountable by design. Our vision is to make contribution-based coordination easier for commons-oriented communities — from open-source projects to research collectives and grassroots networks.
