About Operation Application

Welcome to Operation Application — where Washington County students show up, apply, and win. We’re a student-led, hometown-rooted program launching in Washington County, Georgia, with hopes to grow and reach even more communities over time. Our mission is to walk high school seniors through every part of the college application process. Whether it’s picking the right schools, figuring out FAFSA, or hitting “submit,” we’re here to make sure you don’t have to figure it all out alone. This program was built by Waco grads who’ve been in your shoes — confused about where to start, overwhelmed by essays, and trying to make big decisions with little support. So we came together to build the kind of program we wish we had. Operation Application is more than just help — it’s a real launchpad. With hands-on workshops, honest mentorship, and a whole lot of support, we’re reimagining what college prep looks like in small towns like ours. Here’s what the year includes: 📌 Summer Kick-Off – FAFSA tips, scholarship help, college email setup, and a student-led lunch panel 📌 Operation Application Lock-In – A fun, focused night applying to 10+ colleges (food, music, and support included) 📌 Decision Mixer – A celebration of acceptances and mentor reveal night 📌 College 101 Send-Off – Resume building, professional headshots, scholarship resources, and a “to-go” kit for campus We already had 13 students apply on Day 1. Community support is growing fast. And our team? All leaders — scholarship winners, researchers, student org presidents, and mentors bringing their experience back home.
