Our work to end the cycle of poverty produced by systematic oppression is founded upon addressing the multi-dimensions of poverty identified by the Brookings Institute in its April 2016 report the Five Evils: Multidimensional Poverty and Race in America by Reeves, Rodriguez and Kneebone. The five areas of poverty are low income, education, health, environment and unemployment. Operation Awake provides tools, knowledge and services that change the way individuals see themselves.
