About Operation Orphan

Operation Orphan is a charity designed to create brighter futures for orphans and vulnerable children in our world. For many of these children, education, employment and a decent standard of living are simply out of reach. Currently we are working in 16 countries including the UK. Our work is carried out under five strands; education, health, sustainable development, poverty relief and spiritual and psychosocial care. What makes us unique? We believe in operating in the context of the culture and employ a holistic approach to each project. In many countries we have seen evidence of the community functioning as the orphanage and in these situations our role is to stimulate and strengthen the care structures around the children. In other countries the traditional orphanage is still the best way to care for these children. All of our UK administrative costs (including web design) are underwritten by corporate sponsors which means that 100% of all the donations we receive will be used to fund our projects – so when you support Operation Orphan, you can be sure that every penny will be spent on life-changing initiatives.
