About Opes Italia

OPES (Organizzazione per l'Educazione allo Sport) is a Sports Promotion Organization recognized by CONI whose mission is to enhance the sporting activity in the life of each individual. Born in 1980, OPES believes that sport is a gym of life and an extraordinary means to transmit positive values and healthy principles in society, especially in future generations. For this reason, thanks to the collaboration with Institutions, Schools, Universities, Associations and Public and Private Organizations, it promotes and organizes, without profit, sports, cultural, social promotion, voluntary, training and recreational projects, both local and international. Premio Città di Roma, Rome Sport Experience, Premio Scirea, #BeAlive, Entra in Squadra! and Sport@Scuola are just a few examples of how OPES tries to achieve its goals, countering the abandonment of sports practice, encouraging social aggregation and inclusion, rewarding positive characters that should be emulated, facilitating the birth of human relationships and encouraging good life practices. OPES, being registered in the National Register of Social Promotion Associations (APS), has been transformed into a Third Sector Institution. Furthermore, it is recognized by the M.I.U.R. as a Training Institution of School Staff of all levels and is accredited by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Department of Youth and National Civil Service) as a National Institution of 1st Class Civil Service. Finally, it is the italian component of E.N.G.S.O. (European Non Government Sport Organization) and is engaged with F.I.C.TU.S. (Italian Federation of Cultural, Tourist and Sports Institutions) in the promotion of social and sport tourism.
