About Opportunities for Inclusion
Opportunities for Inclusion is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit human services agency. We serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Greater Waltham and adjacent communities. Established in 1956, and formerly known as Greater Waltham Arc (GWArc), our agency recently celebrated 60 years of accomplishments on behalf of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key programs include: • Day Habilitation for adults with significant disabilities • Community Based Day Supports for adults with moderate to high developmental skills • Individual Supported Employment for individual participants in competitive jobs in the community • Group Supported Employment (GSE) at five work sites at local universities (Brandeis University, Bentley University and Babson College) • School to Work Transitions for students with learning challenges; program runs at Waltham High School to support students' transition from school to work and productive adult community life • Adult Family Care support for caregivers of adults with disabilities or elderly individuals who are currently living at home • Recreation activities providing affordable, inclusive, community-based recreational activities for children, adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
