Australian forests managed responsibly, are a valuable renewable resource. OPS Forestry works with Landowners throughout Australia contributing to the sustainable management of their forests. From this comes a commercial product, mill logs, peeler logs, chip logs and bioenergy. This product generates income for the landowner and provides beautiful, unique raw material for manufactures of timber products throughout the world. OPS work closely with professional harvesting and packing contractors, and shipping lines, to deliver a sustainable, secure, ongoing supply of quality logs to our customers. Our Purpose OPS develop tailored Supply Programs for select customers which provide their business with an ongoing, reliable, and competitive supply of Australian native hardwood saw logs. In developing these Supply Programs, OPS contribute to growing export markets for the Australian forestry industry while assisting landowners to generate income from the forested areas of their properties. Supply Chain Supply Programs developed for our customers includes the following aspects; - Landowners – OPS continually work to source and secure resource from private and state forests. - Harvesting – OPS work with professional harvesting teams to develop harvesting plans that align with forestry standards and customer specifications. - Haulage – OPS partner with trucking companies to deliver logs from the forest to container packing yard. - Packing Yard – OPS work closely with Packing Yards managing quality and coordinating delivery to align with shipping requirements. - Shipping Agent – coordinating ship bookings and shipping documents.
