Optera Structural Solutions are a specialist contractor based in the West Midlands. Using our multi disciplinary structural and geotechnical teams, we are able to investigate problems, design and install schemes for structural damage. Whilst our primary interests lay within the insurance industry, dealing with larger and more complex subsidence related damage, we have increasingly been engaged to deal with landslip, mine shaft and sink hole failures. Our innovative approach has allowed us to provide the client with rapid solutions, saving properties and minimising disruption to the home owners. In addition, we constantly strive to create new and innovative repair techniques including jacking up subsidence affected properties, retaining the original building fabric but returning it to the pre-event condition. Using a combination of piles or traditional underpinning we can rectify distortions with minimal inconvenience and fuss. All of our repairs are engineer designed and an insurance backed warranty is available if the client desires although we do not insist on the provision of one. Our focus is very much on the customer and providing their desires rather than imposing a fixed solution upon them.
