OPTIMIST Botanicals are crafted, distilled, artfully made drinks that happen not to contain alcohol. We’ve created three elegant blends of our non-alcoholic spirits which marry traditional distilling methods and modern botanical extractions, all inspired by the diverse cultures and landscapes of Los Angeles. We’re living through challenging times; isolation, and loneliness are the root cause of many mental health issues, particularly among young people. We’ve never been more ‘connected’, and yet in many ways, we’ve never been more alone. Alcohol, or not drinking it, shouldn’t be the barrier that stops us from getting together. (Lockdown is another story.) OPTIMIST Drinks are designed to enhance social connection. When we talk about optimism, we don’t mean mindless, uninformed positivity. To be an optimist takes grit; a commitment to looking at things clearly, no matter how dark they may seem. It is a life-long practice; helping us to build resilience and envision a better future. Beyond creating a range of drinks that give people a choice, the freedom to experiment with their drinking rituals and strengthen their social connections. Optimist has a broader mission to promote mental wellness and social wellbeing: creating tools for optimists. We have a podcast, OPTIMIST In Progress with Dr Drea Letamendi which provides simple, actionable inspiration to help be in the best mindset possible, and we're giving 2% of our sales from day 1 to provide access to mental wellness services for underserved youth in LA. Our bottles and packaging are 100% recylable and we're working towards B-corp certification.
