Dr. Myles Zakheim has been in private optometric practice in the Los Angeles area since 1980, when he moved from New York City. He founded OPTOMETRIX in 1987. Trained at the New York Lighthouse for the Blind, Dr. Zakheim served on the staff of the Center for the Partially Sighted at Santa Monica Hospital, and was the Director of Eye Services at the world-renowned Pritikin Longevity Center. Dr. Zakheim has provided the Hollywood community with special effects lenses, custom eyewear and professional eyecare services for more than two decades. A staff of contact lens technicians and optical fashion consultants support Dr. Zakheim on all projects. Dr. Zakheim donates eyecare services and eyewear through the nonprofit organizations. New Eyes for the Needy and Delancy Street Foundation. He is a founding member and sits on the board of Angels for Sight.
