Optosem has three business groups, and they are 1. Precision Insert Molding Business Group 2. Plastic Business Group 3. Tool Design and Fabrication Established in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, in March 2002. Optosem Technologies core compentency is Precision Insert Molding of Open Cavity Lead Frame. However, Optosem also ventured into general plastic products to support the Plastic Assembly customers worldwide. OPTOSEM Technologies Precision Insert Molding business group focuses on becoming a global integrated solutions provider for the Open Cavity Packages used for MEMS Sensors. Packages available are standard PDIP and SMT. QFN and DFN Open Cavity Packages were added in year 2007. With package density of up to 640units per strip, such packages are used for a variety of IC application, from OPTICAL MOUSE, LED , FIBER OPTIC, MEMS Sensors (Proximity Switch, Timing clock chip, PIR , RF) and more. QFN Open Cavity opens up newer application especially Sensors and many are found in today’s Smart Phone, Tablets, and Gaming Machines. Other application includes for QFN Open Cavity are Automotive and Medical Fluidic. OPTOSEM Plastic Business Groups supplies diverse products for the IT and Consumer Markets. OPTOSEM plastic products are found in Printers, Bar Code Scanner, Card Reader and POS. Other plastic products includes Precision Parts such as Gears and Optical lenses. As a value add service to our worldwide customers, OPTOSEM supports customers with Package Design, Turnkey Assembly and Box Built, the later completes with testing, alignment and Firmware, Driver. These products are complete and available for direct drop shipment by customers.
