About Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation is a national philanthropic organization that supports research and education in the oral and maxillofacial surgery specialty. It is a 501(c)(3) entity in the State of Illinois. Since its inception, the Foundation has funded more than $12 million in basic and clinical research, fellowships and awards designed to encourage residents to choose education as a career to further the specialty for the future. MISSION: The OMS Foundation strategically invests in opportunities at the forefront of research, patient care, and education. The Alliance was created in 1993 to involve spouses, friends and allied staff of AAOMS and Foundation members in the specialty. As ambassador's of the Foundation, the Alliance is dedicated to supporting current health and social issues related to the family, community and specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery with special emphasis on programs at the AAOMS annual meeting.
