About Orana Engineering

Orana Engineering is a mechanical, electrical and control system engineering consultancy based in Queensland, with our head office located in Townsville and our second office in Chinchilla. We have extensive experience in projects, operations and maintenance activities in heavy industry including coal and metalliferous mining and processing. One of our core competencies at Orana is that we are large enough to respond to our client’s needs while being small enough to develop and maintain close business relationships. Orana Engineering has the expertise to project manage larger projects on behalf of the client as well as being capable of providing detailed design engineering services for smaller scale projects. We believe in delivering a very practical approach to engineering design. Through having operations and maintenance engineering backgrounds, Orana Engineering personnel from their experience are better able to understand the complexities and scheduling challenges that are often involved in performing engineering activities for continuous and remote operations. This results in a more cost efficient and time effective solution for the client. At Orana Engineering, we pride ourselves on our quality assurance systems, and we currently hold accreditation to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS/NZS 4801. Safety in our designs and in our everyday activities is an integral focus of our business. In accordance with the Professional Engineers Act 2002 (Queensland), all engineering designs delivered by Orana Engineering are performed under the direction of engineers possessing RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) status.
