About Ordinary Objects
Ordinary Objects is all about the doer, the discoverer, the person who says yes to a new adventure, and that is what we strive to be. We are at our best while traveling and eating, whether its hitching a ride on a scooter in Turkey to explore tombs cut into the cliffs above, celebrating New Years with strangers on a banana plantation in India, or eating fresh sea urchin out of the shell on the beach. We push ourselves to experience it all, although sometimes binge watching shows in bed is exactly what we want and need too. We work out of Brooklyn (but sometimes out of Barcelona too or anywhere else where we can manage to live and work at the same time) where we amass mounds of wax shavings as we hand carve jewelry prototypes and get covered in metal dust as we finish and polish all pieces by hand. We work with a small Manhattan based vendor who casts our pieces into precious metals. Ordinary Objects is an exploration of objects that are made better by the fact that someone loves them. Sometimes simple, sometimes ornate, Ordinary Objects are meant to evolve as they are integrated into your everyday life and personal style.
