About Oregon Self Advocacy Coalition
We are a self-advocacy organization fighting for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a 501(c)(3) organization operated by people with disabilities, we organize and advocate for full inclusion in society. We work to reverse the assumption that people with disabilities deserve only limited roles in society. We represent self-advocates in Oregon. We work to educate others that people with disabilities can contribute to society in meaningful ways. We have a voice in legislation affecting people with disabilities, and appeal to our lawmakers on a local, state, and national level. On behalf of all people with disabilities, we stand for equal employment opportunities, living wages, and affordable healthcare.
