About Original CRUMBS Bakeshop
Mia & Jason Bauer, the original founders of CRUMBS BAKESHOP are back to relaunch the iconic brand that pioneered the gourmet cupcake in 2003, almost 20 years ago, which later spawned the cupcake craze that hit all parts of the globe. Starting with one store on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, CRUMBS introduced a line of gourmet cupcakes the likes of which no one had ever seen. Combining fillings, their famous cream cheese frosting and all crazy combinations of toppings, CRUMBS cupcakes quickly became the talk of the town. It didn’t take long for consumers to fall in love with CRUMBS cupcakes. At their height CRUMBS was selling more than one million cupcakes every month. After an incredible ten years, Mia & Jason sold the business in 2012 and sadly by 2016 under new ownership, all the stores had closed. When an opportunity presented itself to recapture and relaunch the brand ten years later, they didn’t hesitate. The Bauer’s knew CRUMBS fans would rejoice at the chance to enjoy their beloved cupcakes along with a new line of cookie jars inspired by CRUMBS cupcakes. Beginning in the fall of 2022, CRUMBS fans, new and old, will once again be able to buy CRUMBS signature products at supermarkets & grocery stores all over the country.
