Going up in Central Highland, the largest macadamia plantation in Vietnam, Thao’s journey began when her big brother plant 500 trees of macadamia on their family farm. Macadamias are not only the healthiest nut but also contribute positive responses to climate change. However, macadamia is such a hard-to-please nut. Its shell is the toughest, which makes it impossible to crack using bare hands.Shelled macadamia has low storage time and altered taste. Macadamia nuts in the shell require specialized tools. Regular nutcrackers will not open it, and may even break. Taking on this challenge in aspiring to deliver the finest and purest taste to macadamia lovers, TBK Green Food was founded. In 2012, TBK Green Food launched in-shell macadamia. Learning and inheriting from Australian technology and Asian merits, we have succeeded to develop a new technique. This technique retains the purest taste of macadamias. It's called "single cracker". Macadamia nutshells have different thickness and hardness levels, based on the variety of the tree, soil, and climate where the nuts come from. Hence, the "single cracker" pays special attention to the cracking process. All nuts are cracked one by one. With a precise pressure, macadamia nutshell cracks properly without damaging or exposing the kernel to the air. This leaves a minimal effect on the kernel and preserves the finest quality from far. 2018 marked an important milestone in the development of TBK Green Food. Thao fully dedicated to a new mission of TBK Green Food, to bring the company's products to the US market. TBK Green Food then became Origin Nuts and a new path has begun from here. Origin Nuts successfully found a way to produce the finest macadamia snacks, along with the existing specialty macadamia, that meets their customer’s needs. We use all-natural ingredients such as sea salt, coconut, and rosemary.
