About Orion Racing

The F1 in Schools Technology Challenge is a worldwide program involving over 9 million students worldwide. The international initiative is aimed at engaging and challenging high school students as well as introducing them to the possibilities of careers in Engineering, Science, Marketing and Project Management. The international competition requires teams of 3-6 members to Design, Manufacture, Test, Race and Market a miniature Formula One style car using CAD/CAM design tools. . It is propelled down a 20 metre track powered by the jet from a C02 canister. The average car will complete the race in just over one second, reaching speeds topping 80 km/h. A total of 900 possible points are awarded across a variety of stationary and dynamic events. After being declared the F1 in Schools North India Regional Champions, we started with our preparation for the Nationals by looking at our scorecard and analyzing our errors. We worked upon them and once we were confident, went through several testing and evaluation sessions. We predicted an improvement of 30% from the Regionals and our scorecard reflected the same. For the World Finals, we have collected experiences from all the teams that have competed. We have also invited the best teams to help us for the World Finals, knowing exactly where to improve. We believe that we can do wonders at the F1 in Schools World Finals 2019 with your help, and continue the Orion way of competition, lifting the Champions trophy for the third time.
