About Orléans Minor Football Association
The Orléans Minor Football Association is comprised of the Myers Orléans Bengals who are members of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) as well as the Orléans Raftsmen Midget Football Club which is a member of the Québec Midget Football League (QMFL) The Orléans Bengals was established in 1973 providing recreational opportunities to youth in Orléans. The club has more than 250 participants, ranging in age from 8 to 17, offering cheerleading, girls touch football, flag football, and five different age groups of competitive tackle football. While the club has won many championships and other accolades, our “Be A Bengal Not A Bully” program won the prestigious Royal Ottawa Inspiration Award in the Community Category (2012). Since 2008, players, coaches, parents and managers have been united in their fight against bullying both on and off the field. This work is a true inspiration to us and all of those who are touched by the Be a Bengal, Not a Bully program. This youth-led initiative brought the anti-bullying message to an ideal place for maximum impact – the football field.
