Osborne Construction is an owner-led build collective executing each project with our in-house construction team and project managers on high performance historic renovations and ground-up construction as a general contractor in PHILADELPHIA and SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. Over the last 15+ years, we have built a reputation for delivering hand-crafted, high performance homes and commercial spaces in and around Philadelphia, and now in Southern California and the Ojai Valley. Our focus as a firm has always been aimed toward the adaptive reuse of existing buildings. This has helped us garner a reputation among architects and clients for having the experience and appreciation needed for performing extensive renovations on historic buildings and homes. In 2017, we attended a rigorous training and exam to become a Certified Passive House Builder. In the past four years, we have employed multiple facets of the passive house building methodologies, building healthier and more efficient homes for the next 100-200 years. Our In-house team is comprised of highly skilled framing and finish carpenters and artisans, rigorously trained architects, building science experts, tile setters, furniture and cabinet makers - all with a deep appreciation for the meticulous execution of custom elements in a home that become a reflection of the unique people who inhabit them. Our knowledge base in building science and sustainable building practices allow us to apply a ‘whole house organism’ approach to mechanical systems in new construction and retrofits in old homes that all contribute to highly refined, healthy and extremely durable buildings. We see each project as a unique opportunity to refine our collective expertise to leverage the BEST VALUE and facilitate the BEST VERSION of every project. Our aim is always toward the creation of long-lasting, beautiful and high-performance collaborations that will outlive and outperform today’s traditional construction methodologies.
