About Oslo Iyengar Yoga Senter
The centre was started under the name Yoga for Alle as early as 1995 and is thus one of Oslo’s oldest yoga centres. The centre has offered Iyengar yoga since 2003, and from 2004 it has concentrated exclusively on this yoga style. Iyengar yoga focuses on strengthening the body and is thus an excellent way of keeping both body and mind fit. Globally, Iyengar yoga is one of the most common forms of yoga, and Iyengar yoga educational programmes are among the most comprehensive in the world. We work continuously to improve the quality of our teaching and to build awareness of Iyengar yoga. Autumn 2011 was a milestone in the centre’s history – we were granted the right to use the brand name Iyengar yoga in the name of the studio. We are proud of this. We receive visits from qualified instructors from all over the world several times a year, making the Oslo Iyengar Yoga Centre part of an internationally recognised yoga community. We want those who come to our studio to really feel the benefit of this.
