Our passion is to enable people to do the things they need to do and want to do, to maximise their independence and improve their well-being. We support people to identify what is important to them and set suitable goals, working with them to overcome any barriers to participation in meaningful activities. Our occupational therapists have specialist knowledge and experience in the areas of housing and equipment. We support individuals and family members to create environments that are functional, safe and inclusive, working in line with their goals and what daily activities are most important to them. We pride ourselves on understanding that whilst disabled adaptations and specialist equipment need to absolutely meet a person’s functional and support needs, we are also adapting and installing equipment into a person’s HOME, therefore every design should respect what individuals and families want their environments to look and feel like. Our occupational therapists are also qualified moving and handling assessors and trainers and are able to offer moving and handling risk assessments to individuals within their homes or community settings, plus provide bespoke training to support staff.
