About Our Angels Charity & Support
Our Angels came into being in January 2009, from the shared pain and resilience of a group of grieving parents determined to make a difference. Our roots lie in the simple yet profound act of supporting one another. At Our Angels, we extend our mission beyond providing support – we are also a registered charity dedicated to making a tangible difference in our community. One of the ways we do this is by raising funds to supply memory boxes for families at our local hospitals. In addition to our direct support initiatives, we have prioritised investing in bereavement training for midwives in Harrogate, Bradford, and York. We firmly believe that education is paramount in providing the best care possible for grieving families. By equipping midwifery staff with the necessary tools and knowledge, we strive to enhance the support offered during such difficult times. We understand that these efforts can profoundly impact each family’s journey. In March 2020, Our Angels made a significant contribution of £45,000 towards the refurbishment of the Ferndale suite to create the beautiful and peaceful haven that is the Bluebell Suite. This remarkable achievement was made possible not only by the efforts of Our Angels but by the generosity of individuals whose lives have been touched by baby loss. Countless people have rallied together, taking on incredible challenges to raise funds for this vital project. To all who have contributed, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your support has been the cornerstone of our success, and we humbly acknowledge that none of this would have been possible without your unwavering generosity. Over the past 15 years, Our Angels has grown from strength to strength, and we take immense pride in all that we have accomplished. As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting families on their journey of loss, ensuring that no one ever feels alone in facing such heartbreaking circumstances.
