About Our Kids Network

Our Kids Network (OKN) builds capacity of community organizations that support children, youth and their families in Halton. Our Halton-wide partnership of agencies and organizations mobilizes knowledge and maximizes resources to support Halton professionals in their work towards the wellbeing of children, youth, and families in the region. It is the role of OKN to conduct and share research that guides the network in planning and action; promote and help sustain relationships among organizations; develop resources to help partners achieve their outcomes; and provide knowledge translation that educates and informs partners in their work, leading to action and measurement of progress. As a network of caring professionals who work with children and families every day, we believe passionately that every single child matters and has the right to thrive. We must face the Truth about the Residential Schools system so that collectively we can take meaningful action towards Reconciliation.
