About Our Lady of the Elms School
Our Lady of the Elms School, an independent, Catholic school rooted in the Dominican tradition, educates girls and young women to listen openly, evaluate wisely, speak bravely, lead justly, and serve compassionately. Our Lady of the Elms, located in West Akron, is dedicated to meeting the intellectual, spiritual, social and personal needs of girls grades one through 12, and co-ed students in preschool and kindergarten. The Elms welcomes students of every religion, race, nationality, and ethnic origin. The Elms fosters fidelity to God, academic excellence, and strong leadership in an engaging, safe environment based in the Dominican tradition. Our students become leaders in business, law, medicine, science, communications, philanthropy, the arts, and technology (just to name a few) — we provide the foundation so Elms girls may achieve their goals. The campus includes a new gymnasium, fitness center, dance studio, and theater. Our schools are up-to-date with SmartBoards, symposiums and computer labs.
