About Ourganda

Ourganda not only responds to problems but simultaneously stops them — in individuals and in entire villages. Our 19 Ugandan employees have created ecosystems that rewrite the future BEFORE tragedy takes hold. They offer a positive and revolutionary answer to the question, “Where will 1,000s of kids be in 10 years?” - Ourganda is waging war on domestic violence — and winning. Over 2,000 families who once suffered from violence are now peaceful. We are proud of the program that is changing so many lives. - Ourganda employs nine medical professionals who operate two mobile clinics. They serve a combined population of 17,000 people by visiting most of our 13 villages every week and the others twice a month. Our services include triage and treatment, sickle cell treatment, point-of-care ultrasound for pregnant moms, diabetes testing, and even urgent surgeries for people who would die or be permanently crippled without them. Our teams create wellness clubs for villagers who provide a small co-pay. Membership has grown to 6,000 people who have priority access to medications, health kits for kids, hygiene kits, birthing kits and water filters. Club members attend health classes and take responsibility for their own health. - Ourganda teaches financial literacy classes, empowers families to start micro-businesses, and has established micro-banks in every one of our villages. For the first time ever, 1,000s of people are achieving economic self-sufficiency for themselves and their families. - Ourganda is slamming the brakes on sexual violence against children. Our teams have created a powerful collaboration between government authorities, a prominent Ugandan law firm, and a huge army of volunteers in our villages. Potential offenders clearly understand that sexualizing a child is met with swift and certain consequences. Everyone deserves a positive answer to the question, "Where will 1,000s of kids be in 10 years?" Ourganda is answering that question.
