About Ourschool
Ourschool, a not-for-profit service, is helping public high schools reach out and connect with their former students. Public high school principals want to build their school alumni networks to benefit current and future students. But they don’t have the resources or time to do it. Alumni from public high schools want to go back and give back to their old school. But there was no clear way for this to happen. Now there is, with Ourschool. Alumni can be inspirational, relatable role models for current students. They can provide work experience opportunities and career guidance, establish scholarships and bequests, or volunteer in lots of other ways. Ourschool is a trail blazing initiative for public high schools - the first of its kind in Australia. It was founded by Caroline Milburn, a former education journalist and state school graduate. Ourschool welcomes supporters who can see its potential to strengthen neighbourhood public schools. A strong, vibrant public high school system is crucial for our nation’s economic prosperity and social cohesion.
